Is the PHP block mod in 7.02?

Quick question - I have just upgraded my sites from 7.0 to 7.02, and am now updating the mods I have done.  Could someone tell me if that PHP Block mod is now in the product?  It was done by Deno (I think) and should be a part of the product, but knowing Boonex as I do, they might not have bothered to put it it.  Could someone let me know.

Thanks

Rob

No it's not built-in yet.

You can get it packaged here.  http://www.boonex.com/unity/extensions/entry/Add_PHP_Block_to_Page_Builders_

You would only need to do the source portion of the mod to get it operational again. So don't run the install script in that package. The language keys and sql entry will still be there from the previous install.

Thanks Deano, great job on this - if I have any questions I will post.

But why on earth did Boonex not just add this to the product?  I mean, you handed it to them on a silver platter - and it have been out for months.   This make me think that they don't care much about anything except the mods they are selling - or the consulting fees they get for adding this.  It just seems like adding this should be a no brainer - do you really think they read these forums?

Ok, I better shut up now, they already don't like me.   Thanks for developing this.

They are supposed to. It's in as a ticket marked as an enhancement for dolphin 7.1

It would take them about 5 minutes.  I don't know what is going on there.

Yeah ..... I added that Ticket seven months ago.  You'd think that, if all you did was tell them how, they might have been able to figure out how to do it by now.

HL and/or Deano - is that BxDolPageViewAdmin.php file on the ticket current, if I just replace mine with that?  Deano has the edit instructions, but I am prone to mistakes - and lazy, and would rather just replace the whole file if it will work.

No.  That block of code is as old as the ticket.  I'd delete it, but I no longer have ticket creating/editing privileges.

@HL No kidding - you were doing better than anyone one at getting good tickets in there - what happened?

What about your "remove promo block for logged in members" - another no brainer - is that part of the product now?  I'm just looking at that now.

@Deano - you don't happen to have the whole file you could paste here do you - for people who have done no other mods to that file.  Mostly just laziness, but if you have it, it would be convenient.

@HL (again) what about the blog format changes you made - I see those are on my list also.  Do those still have to be made in 7.02?

I have no idea why I can no longer access trac.  I haven't asked, haven't complained about it, and don't really care.  Most of the tickets I entered in recent times were just ignored anyway..... so it really doesn't make much difference.

I know I asked for an admin option to turn off the promo block for logged in users as part of some other ticket, but I believe it was just ignored.

I don't think Deano will be able to paste the code here.  Too many code fragments consistently get stripped out by this forum, and you'd have to look it over with a magnifying glass to make sure it was ok.  Maybe he can zip it up and provide a download somewhere.  I could use it myself, because that's one thing I haven't kept up with.

Regarding the blog css changes, I can only say that I use them on my site..... along with no less than a hundred other css tweaks.  Just about every template I use, is missing things.  I make sure that all the changes that I do, css or otherwise, are NOT made to the base files, but in a template, so I don't have to worry about any css changes that Boonex may make to the base files.  All I remember about posting those blog css changes, was the css police posting something different right behind my suggestions.... as I recall, that thread just turned into a clusterfk.

Ok, thanks.  I truly don't understand why Boonex doesn't use the wisdom generated here - they could have an absolutely world class product.

The promo bloc suppression seems to have stuck with the upgrade - so I just won't worry about it.   I'll make Deono's edits by hand - no big deal - but if anyone wants to sent it to me that would be cool: caltrade at gmail.com.

BxDolPageViewAdmin.php changed with the upgrade from 7.0.0 to 7.0.1 but did not change in the 7.0.2 update. I have a lot of other mods in my current version so i will have to make one.

Don't sweat it Deano - the edits aren't that tough.  Do you (or anyone) know if this mod is any good - it probably uses your code:

Have not tried it.

If you don't want to do any code changes at all, my Deanos Tools mod is able to insert PHP blocks on to any page. And my new Block Tools mod has both PHP and HTML block insertion. And no code changes are made so updates to new versions of dolphin are not a problem.

Thanks Deano, maybe that is a good approach.  Does your Tools mod allow admin to log in as a user?  I know it used to, but I don't see it on the features list.

Yes. It's still in there.

I just looked and it's in the feature list. Are you looking at Deanos Tools or Block Tools?  They are different mods.
