Is this even possible?

Hi everyone! I just found this forum and I think it's going to be God sent! I'm just starting to work on a new idea that I think Dolphin will be great for but it has one integral part and I'm not sure if it's possible. So, before I spend hours futzing with the program I figured I'd ask here.

On each individual group page I want to have a link which, when clicked, will open in an iframe on that page. Additionally, I want each member to have a "groups" page on their profile that only they can access which will show a list of the groups they belong to and give the opportunity to either visit the group page or to click on a link and have the linked information open in an iframe.

I am certain that this will require some custom coding but I don't know how much and what it might cost if it's even possible at all. Ideally I'd like to have it set up so that when I create a group (I will be the only one with this permission) there will be an option on the set-up form where I can enter links and indicate whether I want them to open in frame or in a new window.

Finally, like Facebook has groups and pages I'd like to have groups and products (with my members being allowed to add products). It doesn't seem like Dolphin has the two different functionalities so I was wondering how much trouble/cost it would be to "clone" the groups function and add it back as the products pages.

I know this might be confusing so if you need clarification please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks in advance for your response and I look forward to becoming a part of this community!

1.  Anything is possible in Dolphin except getting profiles to show in search when they don't have a date of birth on them.

2.  There is a Jobs section to post requests for jobs, bids on them and such.

3.  Your question does take some coding, not as much iframing as your thinking of, and is not going to be answered quickly.

4.  To place groups on the members profile just add it via the Fields Builders section of the Admin Panel.

Thank you for your response.   Good to know that it's possible.  I've posted it in the jobs section to see if there is any interest.
