Issue on Header

On my site where the logo is (header) I also have the members Avatar and then besides it the following options

Account | E-Mail | Friends | Edit Profile

Well when a member clicks on Friends it shows the Admins Friends and when she clicks on Edit profile it says cannot Edit this profile because it is looking for Admins Profile.

Any ideas? Anyone?

Do you mean if you logged in as admin and then logged in as a user on the same computer? I've seen that happen because the browser cached the info. Do this and see if it still happens:

1. Logout as admin

2. Login as the member

3. Hit refresh on your browser

Now hit edit or friends and see if they are correct.

Yes, it happened on my system, and yes i could understand a bit about cache and refreshing and all that, but this actually happened to one of my members who is in another country. She is the one who told me about it.

She saw my friends and could not edit her own profile from that link.

Anyway I tried what you suggested and no luck.

Are you using Dolphin 6 or 7?

I get your problem. Its must be set like this

pedit.php?ID=1

where id should be variable but its not. So its a mistake of the template creator.

so much to do....

Thanks, I have contacted the template designer. He is not a developer, so any suggestions if he cannot fix it. My last option is to remove that link from there.

The reason I asked if you are using 6 or 7 is it sounds like a 6.0 template.

With all the code that the Dolphin template uses I don't see how anyone could make one and NOT be a developer?

I am on 7.0.8. I will check with the template developer. Interesting comment for sure.

Well technically anyone who writes code is a developer. That's why I was confused about someone making a Dolphin template and saying they aren't a developer. The dolphin template is full of code and some core aspects of Dolphin.. so the only way I can see someone making a Dolphin template and NOT being a developer is if they just changed the colors of a template someone else created. If that's the case technically they aren't a developer OR a designer :-)
