Issues with Video Processing

Hi

I'm having major issues with H264 encoding. Half of the time (possibly more), the videos just hang in the processing phase.

I looked in the video/files directory to see what was happening during processing and i noticed that the ones that did not process correctly went over the size of the original file. The ones that processed correctly did not.

After looking at the cron jobs for both successful and unsuccessful videos, i noticed that the successful videos ended with a single line similar to

video:5782kB audio:1443kB global headers:0kB muxing overhead 1.257475%

whereas the unsuccessful videos had ten or so additional lines after that

video:9771kB audio:1560kB global headers:0kB muxing overhead 0.795052%
[libx264 @ 0xa7f9c60]frame I:18 Avg QP:15.90 size: 26759
[libx264 @ 0xa7f9c60]frame P:4648 Avg QP:16.37 size: 2049
[libx264 @ 0xa7f9c60]mb I I16..4: 23.7% 0.0% 76.3%

Excuse my lack of knowledge in these matters, but does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

One solution, of course, is to not use H264, but that triples the size of the videos.

Any help or advice on this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you
