Join Now Edit Text

I just need to edit the Join Desc.

I Go to Settings -> Languages Settings

Type _why_join_desc in the Look for box and mark Search

I try to save the change and it does nothing.  I click on the save button and the window never closes.  I Cleared the Cache and I have tried IE and FireFox as a browser.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Does anyone know where this block is located?  Could I just edit the php or the DB that is related to this string?

hey there, which browser are you using? i just searched on my language keys for 'chief among' which is a word used in the default why join block. the lang key as you describe came up _why_join_desc, i edited the text, and saved.

though to continue with your query, you can edit in the database, search for "dbContentHtml" and if that has not been removed, the why join text is what uses that style.

if you are not using FF for editing, i would recommend using FF for editing the admin panel. i think there are still issues with chrome and safari. I dont even open IE, so cant comment on that one.

Yea I learned my lesson with using IE on dolphin.  I just use firefox.  I tried multiple PCs and all of them have that issue.  I am going to try the DB suggestion.

You're looking in the wrong place. Go to admin/builders/join page and you can edit the html block there labeled 'why join?'

the method i provided for modifying the _why_join_desc was both from the lang strings, and from the database. i didnt even look at the block, but thought he had said that he tried to edit the block, and couldnt get anywhere with it.

i just checked on my install, and that block is not editable admin builders join page, the block is listed a a special block.

I haven't had a chance to change it yet, but everyone is changing it on the DB side I guess?
