Join Problem

Hi Guys

Over the last 2 weeks I have noticed no one has been joining my website, so I just tried to join to see if there were any issues with the join page - turns out when someone tries to join, the page just hangs - have no clue why its doing this? I did have to repair my database due to a table error, but I am not getting any error messages in my log files.

The other thing I have done but this was only a few days ago - was follow igor's instructions on how to add membership levels, so that other members can see what level another member has, but I am not sure if that is causing the problem because like I say, no one has joined in over 2 weeks.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem - or may be able to help?

Cheers in advance

Are you receiving any possible attack emails?

Hi Maurice - I have been but not lately...

I usually get them when someone tries to look at someones profile without being signed in - at least thats how I understand the emails...

Actually - I forgot to mention that I haven't had any for a good while, and deleted the older ones...

Try this, go into admin settings>advanced settings>other and set the PA levels to -1 for both.  Then try to join and see if it works.  What you describe is normally an issue where the PA stops the join process, if you can join then you know its too sensitive PA settings.  If it still doesn't work try to upload a new join.php file.

IF it still doesn't work you need to look at any file modifications you made.  If you modified something it could be causing a php error, turn on php error reporting and see if anything shows when you attempt a join.

My problem is that, after the Guest filling the joining form and clicking the registration/send button, absolutly nothing happen, no failing message(but if I don't fill something in the form then I get the 'missing message as it is appropriate), no error sign.. the process is not continuing.
Any idea how could I solve the problem?
i try to put up a new join.php file but still not working the registration.
thank you.
