Join button not working :(

It was working yesterday as I created a test account. Today the ReCaptcha wouldn't show up so I disabled "Enable Cache For JS Files" and "Enable Compression For JS/CSS Files(Cache Must Be Enabled)" and the ReCaptcha started working again.

But now the "Join Now" button won't work, fill in all the fields and click it and nothing happens at all, no error message or anything.

Could someone please check this out? Deano? The website is http://www.mavenfreelancing.com/join.php

Your join form is returning a error "Could not open socket" which appears to be coming from recaptcha.

I have no clue what is causing that.

The captcha is useless for controlling spam anyway. recaptcha has been cracked and most spam bots can automatically solve them anyway. So i would remove it until a solution is found.

Split join for on two forms and you'll get no spambots. Did it on my site that was a paradise for bots, not anymore after splitting a join form. Captcha is useless anyway.
