ok, looking further into this, and may need to retract this statement altogether, but still consider this match notice thing a legal issue, that needs to be addressed, in that the user should opt-in if they desire match notices to be sent to their email.
site with 8K members, of the 8K each member has 3K matches so this generates what, 240K match notifications (could be wrong on the math there) but some stupid as number of notifications.
emails are sent out (by default 20 at a time from queue)
so if match notices were on, and then you got complaints from the first 10K emails that were sent out which is what has happened on this particular case, so you shut down (disable) match notices, though not realizing there are queued notices to be sent out. or grasping as a new user to dolphin, that there is a 20 mail limit set by default from the admin panel.
so emails could be going out for days considering these numbers. at any rate, im still digging into this, though the client has received threats of legal action due to the ( DEFUNCT ) match making functionality that comes with dolphin.
so yes, this is a bug, and the end-user (member) needs to determine if they are wanting match notifications to be sent to their email or not, and have the option to shut that off at any given time.
Serious issue here, please advise.
