Length Blog

Hey guys ( and girls ),

Members can only write about 250 characters when writing a blog.

I tried changing it in the admin panel of course, but nothing seems to work. In contrary to the news section, there is no option to change the blog length ( only blog preview, blog caption etc... and I tried changing all of them )

It looks to me as if something like 4,000 characters would certainly be needed.

Anything I'm missing here, or just don't see ?

Thanks for the effort !

There is a limit...

Data Type text is limited to 65'536 chars (216).

If you need to extend this limit, you will have to use mediumtext (224 chars) or longtext (232 chars) for the field PostText of the table BlogPosts of your Dolphin database.

Thanks for replying guys.

Well, in that case there is something wrong with my blog section :S

After having typed 250 characters, it just won't take anymore...

Hi Andrey,

Thanks for the reply.

When someone has registered and wants to create a blog, everything is fine, up to the point when they reached 250 characters. Then the thing just sort of stops. You can type and characters will apper. But as soon as you release the keys... all characters more then 250 just vanish again ?!?

Please feel free to have a look at it yourself at www.experienca.nl . Not sure if my explanation is that helpful, hahaha.

You can switch to English, as the site is Dutch by default.
