Roaringbiz, yep it is a hotchpotch of unresolved issues, I agree with you entirely.
But you are mistaken in thinking that this is the place where you can address the makers of the code directly, from what I can gather they are completely aloof and seldom respond to messages - all they seem to do is accept payment.

So when you say 'fix your code' we are all with you here, most people use this forum in order to collaborate on fixing Boonex's code and getting the untidy code working properly. One thing is for sure - the dolphin script IS worth sticking with, as on the whole it provides a good'ish solution to a load of peoples needs (thats why it has such an active userbase).

What is a little bit hard to swallow is that this so-called open source software has been so badly documented and is so arcane to follow that it appears to be 'open' only to boonex -  while we all blame server setups and  mis-applied mods and tinker with typos.  As for it being released under a creative commons attribution only license, that effectively makes it freeware -  I am surprised that no-one has re-written a version of the code that excludes the dependency on boonex and its billing system - thereby recognising that most of the functional development of this product is done by people that arent working for Boonex. But obviously there are issues there.

Thanks for your List - and keep it coming - it will be useful.

i know . it's so hard to find good coders that can fix these problems at a good price. i've even gone to rentacoder.com but when i tell them what needs to be done.. nadda no bid requests. looks like i'm stck reading php books yet again and mysql, which is next to impossible as i'm in school take computer programming with visual studio. royal pain. at least most of the exterzzz.com mods work with the exception of installing .sql files to a database that doesnt work

Funny though, the thing that blew my confidence in dolphin the most was noticing that a lot of code was written by a dyslexic - not that I'm a fanatic about spelling, but knowing how a single misplaced comma can mess up a whole script, made my opinion of the "state of the art" coders that knocked this script together plummet.

Things like .DisignBoxFirst could be a quirky joke, but they get a bit too common.

It is frustrating at times, but It's probably because all of the Dolphin coding is going on in Kyrgyzstan where english is not the primary language.  I'd have to say however, that most of the coder's english, is a  lot better than my Kyrgyz.

My opinions expressed on this site, in no way represent those of Boonex or Boonex employees.

Hehe HoustonLively. Very good point , I hadn't thought of that - and now feel slightly ashamed of my anglocentricity (while secretly wondering where the Boonexky.Krg site in Kyrgyzstan is, in case they have a less bugy version)
