Localize membership names, how?

Is it possible to localize the names of the memberships?

I have tried to create a name like _testmembership and then adding/translating that string, but that did not work.

It's quite important on an international site to be able to have localized names of the membership, any help would be hugely appreciated.

add like this

_t(_your string);

I can't anything in the forum about this, am I the only one thinking this is an issue? Do the rest of you all have English membership names although you have multi-lingual sites?
