Login with email address

I'm not running a dating site and have no reason to use nicknames. How can we use the email address as the login name? Would like to change the database key data to email address. And then change the display name on pages to NickName(changed to Name(and accepting spaces)).

Not asking for much, huh?

Any ideas?

i found 3 topics already with this question and seems that every one ignore it. Really how can it be done? I would also like to make login with email instead of Username  plus it seems people get to remmember their emails faster than usernames
