Logo and Block Styling Questions

Hi all

I have two questions regarding my website.  The first simple question is can the logo on a boonex website be a flash logo or does it have to stay as a static image.

The second question is how do I change the background colour for the boxes on the site.  My website uses a dark coloured template but page blocks such as articles and polls have a white background.  I would like to either make them transparent or at least a darker colour to match the site template.  Can this be done.

You can see what I mean by going to www.ifyoubelieve.net and scroll down to see the polls on the right hand side.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Is there nobody on here that can help with my two questions.  I really would like some advice or suggestions please.

King regards

The polls blocks you are referring to are not the standard page blocks. It consists of a table and several png image files to construct the sides and corners. You will need to turn off your sites css caching so i can see where they are.

The tool we use to find where to make these changes is called firebug. It is a plugin for firefox. IE9 has a built in tool to help with that as well.

Fixing it yourself will not be easy as the changes you make should be made part of the template rather than changing the base files.

As far as i am concerned this is the template developers responsibility. The polls module is a default module and was apparently not skinned with the rest of the modules.

Oh. and your other question on the logo.

Yes. You would need to edit _sub_header.html and replace __main_logo__ with your flash code.

You have a custom template, so these changes should be made to that templates _sub_header.html file. If it does not have one then the one from base should be copied to the custom template then changed.
