Have tried changing permissions on several files as suggested in Unity posts. (from 775 to 777)

I can see the directories in File Manager with the proper permissions (755)

I've been trying to solve this problem on my own for two weeks now.

I've read every post I could get my hands. Nothing works for me.

I'm going crazy.

Please help me.

Do you own the directories? Maybe you just did a restore?

According to Arvixe

YES.

I own the directories.

Tomk,

Arvixe has php setup so the only file that has to be 777 is ffmpeg.exe and none of the directories have to be 777. Do you have an FTP client you could use to verify the file ownership is correct?

Contacted Arvixe support.

They changed the file ffmpeg.exepermission to 777.

I FTPed to check for myself and it is now 777 (it was 755).

I cleared all cache, tried to upload image again,

Still the same 4 warnings.

Unfortunately the problem still exists.

Sorry, when I said ffmpeg was the only file that was supposed to be 777 I meant you didn't have to worry about changing any of the other files or folders (the files should all be 644 and the dirs 755).. ffmpeg doesn't have anything to do with your current problem.

Also 777 is the permission, not the ownership. Can you FTP in and make sure the /media directory is owned by the same account as the other files and folders?

Is this shared hosting or do you have root access?

According to Arvixe support

"......Yes media directory is owned by the same user and images as well.

This is a shared server and no shared account has access to root user

You need to upgrade to a VPS Pro or dedicated server to get root access support..."

This is a tough one. If you feel comfortable PMing me your FTP info I'll log in and see if I can figure it out.

mscott I sent you a message.

Please have a look because I am lost.

It should work now. Your "media" directory had been moved inside the "modules" directory, I moved it back to the base dir. I'm guessing since they are side by side in file manager a drag and drop mishap might be the culprit :-)

I'm surprised no one checked to see if the directory was actually there.

Edit: I meant leaving that option as a last resort.

Please ask this question in a new topic.  This is about a missing logo, not disabling one.
