MAtching on textArea fields

Set up a custom  textArea field. How would matching work on such a field?  Would the other persons field have to match exactly to be a 'match'?

I think the values should be equal. I just checked the code to be sure and as I see it's working this way. So, Textarea based fields are not so good to be used as Match fields.
