MBSTRING

Hi there,

I am a total newbie to php, etc...I have been using off the shelf software which is really rubbish from abeldating (so if you come accross them, please don't be fooled, you will spend money for nothing!

Anyway, I have decided to try Dolphin (well trying to try before I buy) but whn I go to the install process, I get this error message

mbstring extension not installed. Warning! Dolphin cannot work without mbstring extension.
Please go to the
Dolphin Troubleshooter
and solve the problem.

I have changed most other things in the php.ini file but I can't find where to change this or even add the extention...could someone please help?

I am using a dedicated linux server with root access.

Should be like this:

Select Profile --> Customize --> Select Apache Version --> Select PHP Version --> Exhaustive Options List --> Check "Mbstring"

under whm if using cpanel  then restart apache.

you can also try this under shell        # yum install php-mbstring
