MEMBERSHIPS

Please advise:

mY GOAL:

Pay to play basically.

Non-members are very limited. (i set those actions)

Monthly fee charged to play on site. (created a membership for this)

Promotion members (wanted to be able to use this to offer people 7days for free on the site)

How the heck do I put this all together? I want to have the site set that you join as a non-member and then basically have to pay the fee to play. However I also wanted the ability to offer a promotion to certain people for free 7 days. Is this even possible?

Can someone please sum this up to what I can do????

Thankyou!

What you are describing appears to be how the membership levels are set up already.

  • There are non-members. These are guests to the site. They don't have profiles and aren't officially members at all.
  • There is a standard membership level, with a Promotional level to be able to check it out (and the default is set to 7 days).
  • And there are the created membership levels.

Make the Standard membership have the same access as the non-members, that way they'll have to upgrade to a paid membership level that you've created. (Non-members by definition are Guests to the site, so "join as a non-member" isn't quite correct. They'll join at the standard membership.)

Make the Promotional membership have the same access as the membership levels that you've created so that they can see what they are paying for in order to encourage them to upgrade.

Hope that helps.
