Making a Dating Site and Uploading Photos....

I want to make a very user friendly dating site ... one that makes it easy for the user to upload photos without confusion... so first thing I did was get rid of the 'avatar' module, as it serves no purpose for dating sites in my opinion.

My question is how do I get rid of 'photo albums' ... I just want users to be able to upload profile photos of themselves without having to click 5 times to get to the photo upload screen .. is their a mod for this? I don't want a social networking site like facebook or myspace.... I have searched the site and came up empty ... I want a dating site that encourages users to upload photos of themselves without having to make separate 'photo albums'

Also mandatory photo on join..how can this be done without the 'avatar' ...... or have a mod approve a photo before it's allowed on the site?

I Am personally trying to figure out a solution to this as well.  I just want something easy for users to upload pictures to and show them.  I posted pretty much the same topic this morning for my dating site.

I hear ya - I have read hundreds of reviews on 'the best dating software' and Boonex was on top of the list. I know that a good dating site cannot be perfect with a $99 dollar script, but I would gladly pay good money for some instruction on how to utilize the dolphin script to optimize for dating sites....

Yes I am in the same boat.  I even paid 1000 dollars for another software and it just didn't have the following that this does.  I have been messing with dolphin off and on for 4 years now.  Spent about 3000 on a D6 board that I ended up scraping because of letting certain programmers work on it.  I am not bitter just a hard lesson learned.  Now I am trying to figure out as much on my own and figure it out from there.

Not sure if this is the right or wrong way to do this but I found if you create some Html blocks and use the url http://sitename.com/m/photos/albums/my/add_objects/{profileNick}-s-photos/owner/{profileNick} to wherever you want it will take them directly to the photo upload page... giving the user more options and making it easier for them to upload photos of themselves....

..as far as getting rid of albums or limiting them to just one ... I don't know yet, hope that helps...

Very Nice.  It looks like it makes the Album name {profileNick}-s-photos though.  Not sure if that becomes a problem down the road.  The other issue is that avatar at the top is still the default image. =(

HAHA EXACTLY!  Well said.  There is so many experts on here.  I know that this is like 1 of the number one complaints a long with security on dolphin.  I am surprised that no one really has done anything for this.
