Many Members Missing

I am using Dolphin 6.14

I had recently noticed that the amount of Members reported on the main page as being different from the Admin area Members list. I thought maybe people had canceled or suspended their accounts.

Today a member sent an email saying they could not login and were not recognized. I went to the Admin area and true enough they did not exist neither by a search by email or member ID. I looked in my email trash and the email I get when new people sign up was there so they had indeed signed up.

I looked over the member list and for example the following members are missing....7, 20, 26, 35, 38, 40 , 43.

There are a lot of people missing.

Does anyone know what the issue is? Any help here? Thanks!

Maybe this,

Settings/Database Pruning

- Clean old profiles by last log in ( days )

- Clean old profile views ( days )

default is 180 days

if you edit it to 0 it won't remove old profiles.

That wouldn't be the problem. The site is less than 3 weeks old.

I answered this over at the expertzzz site but I can answer it here as well.  The issue has to do with the Date of Birth Field most often.  Especially if you are using the pop up calendar provided.

I'd almost gaurantee, (mostly because I have to do it every other day!!) if you check the Profiles Table in your database you'd find the users that are missing have birthdays that are 0000-00-00.  I just change them to a default value and the profile now appears.

There are a few post out there about this but in a nutshell this is the end result.  If anyone has figured out why this happens and has fixed it, I'd would be very pleased to find out how....

Thanks for the response. Yours is the only quality response I have ever received here on any issue.

I am on my way out the door but I took a quick look. What I found so far is that some members are just plain old gone....like the guy that emailed me saying he couldn't login. On others I noticed people were registered twice with a (2) next to the second entry.

Another member has everything filled it even the date of birth and is active, yet he isn't showing in the membership list but IS in the database.

I'll check back in later when I get back home.

Thanks for the help so far!

I've had more time to look over the database.

These are my findings:

1) Couples are showing up as one member. Example if a couple joined, the first person would be user 100 and would show as a member. Person 2 is user 101 but does not show as a separate member. So in the user list #101 is not visible but they are in the database.

2) Some people that signed up are just gone. They are no longer in the database. In fact, I have a block of 4 consecutive members missing. I looked in my email and I have system confirmations that these people signed up.

It looks like there is a major bug or other issue here.

Ideas? Suggestions?
