Hello I have the Dark Shine Template by MasterTheme. It displays good in Firefox, but in any Internet Explorer (ie) it displays poor around the box/block edges please take a look here talentastic sorry don't want to include the full address because of google indexing :)
Any help would be good, have message the author to no avail?
Thanks......

I dont have IE so cant test (mac user) but the latest IE has a compatibility mode, My dolphin sites only display correct when you click this. Dont ask why, just stupid IE... All other browsers can figure it out.!
At the top on menu bar, should be what looks like a 'broken file' icon, click that, see if it helps.

Its possible that someone may be able to help you, but since this is a paid 3rd party template, the developer needs to provide the support for your issue.
Can you advise the following:
- How many attempts were made to contact the developer
- How long ago
- Has the developer replied to ANY of your messages?
Nothing to see here |
Ive bought from MasterTheme before, they tend to respond quicker if you use the contact on their email instead of here...
Always responded though and been helpful.

Hi and thanks for all your relies :) daihlo I will try that but seems weird and pretty daft for non internet gurus to figure that out when browsing your/our sites :( But thanks will update soon, Zarcon I have contacted them twice and got a reply through the boonex site, they wanted a screenshot, but strangely screenshots show a perfect site when taken?? so I replied back through the external email but have not had a response, I just asked for some pointers guidance and more importantly for them to see the issue and not think I am telling fibs :)...but nothing to date? it was approx 3 days ago, so still chance for contact lol. Thanks for your speedy replies.

Update: Mastertheme has still not contacted me! So I guess I am on my own with this problem typical having spent 79 dollars on a template, well I deserve it anyway for not checking them out first :(
I thought that I could sort this by simply altering the white shadows across the top and bottom sections of the style boxes (This theme Darkshine has options to change colours in the page builder). I figured that for a quick fix could it be possible to change them to black to match the background, so when in ie they are not as noticable? Or is this not the right way to address the problem?
Any help would be good!!
Thanks.....

Did you try the 'compatibility mode' for IE? |
Hi, yeah I sure did and it made it worse? I think it might be an issue with something within one of the blocks, some sort of messy code perhaps, but my html/php is somewhat limited :( Have you any suggestions please take a look with ie talent---astic in google and you'll get the site, don't want to place link on this forum! See I would try and locate the block with firebug but in ie I am stuck lol
Thanks for any advice.....

Would look but dont have ie!
I only have mac these days and ie is not available...!
Only glitch Ive had with Mastertheme templates is the Quad template, wont allow ambedding of videos into html blocks at all, not even via database.
Something in the script strips the code or something...
Its a pain, as I bought a few of their templates when I started working with Dolphin, but cant use them due to this as video is an important feature for me to be able to display in html blocks...
|
Yeah sure I agree it's a pain! I have sent them 7 e-mails now and not got the answer or a constructive reply for that matter, broken english and very sketchy from the 2 replies i got?? I will try them again and then totally negate anyone who is wanting to purchase from them in the future! It's a shame really because generally they are good, but like to many businesses once they have got your money £££'s they let go on the customer services :( |
we re working to understand the problem. its not about theme. thank you for your considerate and patience.
Best Regards

1- Updated version of the template has been send to dplant. 2- We are unable to see the error on our ie versions. We can't fix the error that we can't see. 3- None of our clients detected and reported us that kind of error since 2 years 4- If we can detect the error we'll fix in one day 5- The error may be about extra blocks that you add
Best Regards

I'm all Linux and BeOS, so there's no way for me to test a site in Internet Explorer.

Ok will try and research some other threads, Maybe it is not the file in the template? but strange how it works with every other browser?, will close this now then.
Thanks again...
