 My site is set up for email verification when a new member joins. The problem is that when someone joins they can sign in without clicking on the confirm email. Is there a way that the nickname and password will not let the user sign in until they verify it through email? Current setting - settings> moderation>Automatic profile confirmation without Confirmation Email - off Thanks in advance for any help |
Yes, they can join, but status - is approoval, so such profiles will invisible like ghosts :) and they can`t perform any actions at all before activation |
Problem is people won't know that they are invisible, so they will never know to go back. Is there a way to not allow them to sign in until activated - giving them a message to check their email or something? |

Well i get around this by a "Important Please read this notice" on the front page Important information for members and guest
For people who have recently joined the site, or people who are thinking of joining the site please read.....
All profiles, profile photographs and gallery photographs are now moderated, and have to be approved before allowing them public, so dont worry if you dont see them showing straight away, a moderator will look at them very soon. All Profile are Invisible until approved Seems to work fine. |
