Member Menu Drop Down Removal

Ok, I've blown a good four hours on this now and am throwing myself on the mercy of my fellow porpoises...

The behavior of some of the member menu items has been a little strange on my end.  The tool tips come up and block access to the menu selections, especially mail.  I was able to comment those out in the public_html/templates/base/extra_top_menu.html file.

Now I'd like to remove the "Info" link in the drop down for the Profile menu choice.  The info isn't particularly useful to our audience so I'd like to eliminate the drop down portion of this unit and just have the button operate as a link.

It is uneditable in the Admin section so I went to the database, found the item but I have no clue how to change the JS in the action field so that it becomes the button I want it to be.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, so I am the first person who has tried to do this?

So why can you not just go into admin navigation menu and remove the block under profile tab that says profile info?

In this case I still want to keep the "view my profile" or "profile" menu option on the Top Extra Member Menu, what I want to do is remove the drop down and just have it be a link like the Admin or Logout button is.

I thought I had explained this in the initial post but must have failed.

 Hey, AndrewP in the market has something what you are looking for. Drop down menu multi level.

here is a link of one of them;

Just change the last digit to view the others.

Thank you for the suggestion, however I am not looking for a whole new menu but simply an adjustment to the existing one.  I am doing my best to minimize the additional mods done to my site so that updates don't create issues while waiting for vendors to catch up.

So the question still stands, how and where do we access the member menu so that we can change the drop down and links?
