Member Menu not functioning properly

According to screenshots and other community sites that use dolphin, the bottom menu has a number of useful functions, however it does not seem like any of them are functioning properly on our site!

1. The only buttons on the menu that have any function at all are Logout, and Admin.

2. although the code shows the mouseover events (firebug) nothing happens, and clicking any of the icons other then logout or admin goes nowhere as well.

I just updated from .0.6 to .0.7 , and prior to this upgrade the mouseover events were not functioning, but the icons were clickable... So its getting progressively worse ?

Thanks for any help I can get!

Bump.. This ones a pain, does anyone have anything. I have looked through JS, checked the cached versions of things to see if something was being a scriptbreaker, so far nothing has turned up of value.  its a function that nearly every member so far is confused about, because the menu exists, but its damn near pointless!

the member menu works fine,  the screenshot you provided looks like a custom templ so it's not easy to tell why its not working. Its something on your end that's for sure.

There very well may be something wrong on my end, however I am positive that the template is not the root of the problem. switching to UNI does not fix the issue, and before i patched in 7.0.7 I at least had a functional button instead of just notifications.  Responding with "everything is fine" when apparently I am not the only person with issues is a bit pointless don't you think? I do appreciate anybody helping out, especially an advanced member, considering how much time you guys devote here, but at least try to set me on a path to repair the issue, don't just chalk every post up to 1D10T errors and move on!

is it only on one specific page or is it site wide?..
if it's on some pages try removing some blocks see if it help

Was any of the js files modified that could effect the functionality?.
(i had some issues with my site when i was optimizing/minifying js files on my site)

""I just updated from .0.6 to .0.7 , and prior to this upgrade the mouseover events were not functioning, but the icons were clickable... So its getting progressively worse""

the member bottom menu has always worked for me. (i did see a few sites having issues with the menu you could click on any item and nothing would happen but after uninstalling some modes it worked again)

Can you verify this issue you are having on a new install?..

the icons are clickable at my site and the box header is also poping up but no content is in the box ...

i have tried different solutions like uninstalling mods, using uni template, etc.

i dont have changed something on the js file, so i dont know where the problem could be.

Hello

May u provide test user access of ur site, because registration doesn't work from my side for now - seems ur server has some specific settings of Ajax queries. It may be reason of menu trouble too.

Regards

Sorry for my delayed reply.

I have tried everything suggested, and end result was this:

I have the menu system working correctly now, on a fresh install, I actually ran two fresh copies and checked a few of the internal "advanced" settings between them, and from what I can tell, if i attempt to use something other then "file" compression on my server, the JS that runs the pop out menus, etc becomes useless.

I have moved to another box, and have left it on file mode for now. Not that I'm positive, but could it be something to do with memcache / etc  setup serverside ?

Now that its working, the urgency is not really there to get it compressed properly if it means losing this functionality, however if anyone has any ideas  let me know!

Thanks for everyones help.
