Members email replies

Hi

Whenever a member replies to another member's email, the reply always defaults to the admin of my site and not the actual member.

How do I fix it so that it defaults to the actual person they want to reply to? That is the person that actually sent them the email in the first place.

Hope this makes sense.

Even when someone contacts me via the contact form, I need to delete the "to" field entry as it defaults to admin and not to the person that sent the email and actually copy and paste the return address from the original email.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry. Shoulda thought of that.

Version 6.1.4

Mods have nothing to do with it as I have a test version of 6.1.4 which is a standard clean install with no mods and it does exactly the same thing.

For example. if you send a message to admin via the "Contact Us" form, admin receives the email fine, but when you go to reply to it, the "to" field has the admin email address and not the actual sender of the email. It means that every time I have to copy and paste the senders email into the "to" field. Now that I can deal with but it is also happening to my members.

They assume that they are replying to the person that sent them the email but they are actually sending it to admin which means that their email never reaches it's intended recipient.

Would really love to know how to fix this as my members are justifyingly getting annoyed that their emails are not getting through.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

oh you want to mod it then, cause its working as intended.

the emails from the site are simply notification emails and all of them have

"This is an auto generated email please do not reply"

To get users emails into the header you have to edit inc/utils.inc.php and then add a profile ID/email grabber and then insert it into the mail function
