Membership administration

I am a newbie, and recently acquired a free licence.

1.- Is there any limitations on free licence as oppesed to full licence?

2.- On a free licence, how I can control membership levels?

The only difference is the Price and the fact that with a Free license you will have Ads for Boonex around your website.

You can add new membership levels from within the Administration Panel.

When each level is added you can control what each level has access to and you can add a price for each membership level.

However I am still not clear How I can present to the new member a choice at which level they wish to join and how they have to proceed should they decide to upgrade their level.

You didnt specify which version of Dolphin you have. Assuming you are using D7,  Members can see their allowed actions from the Dashboard page (Account page). Under Membership there is a link that says "View Allowed Actions".
