Membership levels not working, cant limit

I can create membership levels but if i want one group to not be able to create ads and i disable this in the membership levels settings nothing changes on the actual account?

I can still do everything even if i disable things?

Not sure if this will be a step in the right direction but a lot of issues after changes have been made seemed to be ok after clearing the cache on your admin panel, give that a try and see how you go.

Hmm, i disabled my cache though, in the settings, and I also cleared my own cache of course

Dump the temp files and cache. I bet that solves your problem

After you create the new membership ... you'll see all of the features that can be enabled for it and you can actually assign that membership level to another member ... which leaves the false impression that the membership level is working properly, but with errors if things aren't assigned correctly by the system.

Well, that's because the final step is still required ... you have to actually activate that membership from the admin/settings area. Once you've activated it everything should be fine. It's a little silly how that works. Once the membership level has been created it would be helpful to receive a little popup box or something with a reminder to activate it, before assigning the new level to anyone.

See if changing browser affects this.  I can't make membership changes in Google Chrome but it works fine in Safari for me while Firefox works for other functions.  A number of my users can't use IE with the beast either (I don't use IE at all).  The platform seems to be very browser-specific, at least in my experience.

Also, clear your cache via cpanel or ftp and not just the Dolphin Admin as that only clears part of the deal (leave .htaccess in tact but delete anything and everything else).  I turned cache off too but the folder still loads up with things.

Good luck.
