Migrated photo completed but no photos

I just managed to migrate photos from D6-D7 but there are no pictures, just the file names and the links and when you click on them you get the photo viewer without any photo. Anyone run into this issue? I migrated again but no success.

So far, I had no luck migrating the photos with D7 data migration . So, I had to dig more and here are my findings. The profiles in D7 have been assigned different photo IDs (1,2,3,....) that doesn't much the one in D6. Also, the naming convention used in D7 is different too. I had to copy one photo from D6 and manually renamed it according to D7's naming convention (e.g. 34.jpg, 34_m.jpg, 34_ri.jpg) and it appeared in the correct profile in D7, but it was a bit blurry (resized..errrr). But somehow the migration script is not doing it I guess. If anyone has successfully managed to migrate the photos, i hope I will see some post in this thread.

Did you start with an empty D7 install (no members, photos, etc.) before you tried to run the migration? That is the best way to do it, if not.

Yes, Zarcon. It was a clean D7 (no members, photos, etc.). You mean the photos associated with their profiles also migrate successfully using the Data MIgration module? Mine took almost few hours (left to sleep so don't how long it took) but said "'profiles transferred' 193 items", and confirmed the migrated profiles (without photo) contain their associated friends (without photo) and the rest of info seems to be transferred. So, I don't know how it missed the photos? When I do a DB comparison, D6 has the photo IDs in a the Profile table, but D7 has it 'bx_photo_main' (with different ID that what was given in D6). So, I don't know how to get my members photo? Any ideas that I check? I'm stuck.

I had to convert size and move each photo to their associated profiles (pain in the butt) MANUALLY!!!

I had the same problem. What solved it was having both databases (old and new) using the same user name. Sounds silly but that is what I used and it transferred my 900+ photos.  Good luck!
