Mobile Source

Using the latest Android mobile source code, I get nothing but errors in Android Studio. I'm importing it with properly and everything gets imported, but I get a good amount of errors while trying to build it. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone been successful at importing into Android Studio? It seems like every time I try, I get a new error. The latest in "Error:(21, 21) error: cannot find symbol class R". Before that was "Error:(13) Error retrieving parent for item: No resource found that matches the given name 'android:TextAppearance.Material.Inverse'." Please Help!

Hi rideshowoff. I personally haven't tried building this myself yet, however I'm happy to give it a go and see if I can get it working or whether I experience the same problems as you.

I haven't looked at or searched any docs yet, but what instructions are you using?

You'll also need to state (so I can duplicate any issue):

* what OS are you running Android Studio on?

* what version of Android Studio?

* what version of the Android package?

* anything else pertaining to reproducing the problem.

Have tried it many times as well, but with no luck.

Direct import in Studio is barely possible, you have to export it with Eclipse somehow, have you read the manual of exporting?

I was getting another error, but what I was able to find about it says that Dolphin apps are using little old (last updated in 2013) codes, many functions of which are deprecated. But it still workable in Eclipse.

Have you tried IntelliJ instead?
