Mod to steal profiles in Boonex markets

I just came across this in the markets section, and it struck me as being dishonest, but I am not allowed to make a comment there unless I buy this, which I don't want to do.

What do you guys think about this?  It seems to me the next step would be for some developer like this to make a mod that would search the internet and allow people to steal profiles from our sites.   Boonex is already getting close to that in the way the do the presentations in the websites sections, but at least that is opt-in.  I am also concerned that features and functions that really should be part of the base product will start appearing as paid mods - it hasn't happened yet, but I think it could soon.

Yea, this is nutz.

But this seems to be common practice for a lot of dating sites esp. Filling there sites up with tons of fake profiles.

You could report that mod, so Boonex team can check this... :)

I'm not going to report it.  They know it is there.   Now there are a whole slew of idiotic, semi-fraudulent mods apparently made by the same guy.  I was just reading about one that lets you generate fake traffic on a site.  The idea is, once you have a bunch of fake members, it might look fishy if none of them are online, so this will show a number of members coming and going with online and offline status and otherwise make it look like all the fake members are busybodies with a bunch of fake activity.

I can't really think of a legitimate reason for this.  When some people were trying to defend this a while back the fallback position was that it was for "testing" - but that is just nonsense.  This is "intent to deceive" - the very definition of dishonesty and fraud.   I can't imagine why anyone would buy this.
