Module not found

Hello

I can install modules, but the first time I have a problem.

And I would not make sense not to spend money to install one of them.

I need help because I did all the installation instructions, the module appears on the list of uninstalled, installed, and although it appeared that everything was successful. When I enter the settings of this module, it appears the message: Module not found. How do I fix this? Please help

Best Regards,

Lucas

I would think your first message should have been to the module creator.

I sent but he wants me to install the module for $ 15 and I already have installed, only after clicking on it displays the message: Module not found. I mean just for help.

When I install in the Admin module displays the information to me that everything was successful. But the module still appears on the list of uninstalled.

The module author is the only one that can help. The fact that the module appears to be installed but shows up in the uninstalled list means the module did not successfully install. It is only partially installed.

The only way to fix that is to manually remove the module and then reinstall it. Only the module developer will know exactly what has to be manually removed from the database to get the module uninstalled properly.

The only other possibility would be for someone else with module development experience to remove it for you.

well i find this appalling that you report the problem to the module developer, and his response is to charge you for the install. this should be reported to the moderators here on unity and have them look into this.

DosDawg,

This is exactly what dearartmedia and some other vendors have done to customers.

You purchase a module and then it fails to install correctly, then they tell you they will charge to install it, when in all actuality they have done this on purpose, as in my module from dearart, I found lines of code that made no sense. After extensive editing I get some to work.

This is a common practice from what I see after being here for almost two years. The new unsuspecting customer buys a complicated module that requires extensive core changes and just one small mistake made editing those files and their site is rendered non functional sometimes.

Oh well, things never change...
