Move from Apache to Litespeed...

Hey all! Maybe it's a silly/trivial/unnecessary question, but I want to check that Dolphin will run on Litespeed without any (additional!) problems after a move from Apache?

Any thoughts before I click on the 'go' button with my server...?

LiteSpeed rocks!  We use it on several Dolphin servers.

Oh excellent! And did you originally run Apache with your Dolphin site... then change? I'm just worried that the change will render certain things unworkable.

Well, take one example from our server overload yesterday. Our server admin said, "I think that Apache and MySql optimization will be not really enough to get this working properly".

It was buckling under the strain of 100 concurrent clients (and can theoretically handle up to ~1000)... compare this to Litespeed that can handle 20,000+. Which means things can be accessed by more people - especially useful on a social networking site.

Also, just for anyone else considering an upgrade... I've completed the install and the site is working very nicely. No problems (as yet!).

Any problems with LiteSpeed? I'm also thinking to flip the switch...

Moved from Apache to LiteSpeed a few months ago, all went smooth, except for a problem in Photos mod/page, that the hosting solved immediatly.

I'm having may performance issue with lightspeed and am requesting a move back to apache.

I installed Dolphin 7.06 from scratch on Apache.  Then my host provider switched me to lightspeed and for the past 4 months I've see bad performance issues.  Takes a long time for page loads and switching from page to page.

Anyone else have performance issues with lightspeed?

You should be talking to your hosting provider about speed issues/moving back to Apache (depending on your server type).
