My NEW D7 Site!

So, after a while of configuring, sorting out the site and so on... Ive just launched my  first D7 site!

thought I'd post it here to see what you guys who've been at it for a while think, any feedback appreciated (hopefully!)

Its just launched and I guess is in 'beta' or testing at the moment to see what works with actual people on it instead of just in my head...

Anyone else want to post their site up here would be great! Would be good to see others sites, see how different the script can be used.

Lots of the links in the websites section are either not current or you cant relay see the site unless you're a member.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks

I like it. Functional, attractive with matching colors, and not too overbearing.
Here's a link to our community, also still in the end stages of development ... click here!

thanks Meinecommunity.

Your site is coming on, couple of things I noticed that I would change if I was a user with admin control!

2 of the tabs - Ubuntu and Supercards open in new windows when everything else open the same window. I think it 'feels' better as a user if they are all in the same window - unless they are re-directing off the site?

Also, the shoutbox on the home page -  I would put this either higher up so its visible on the top of the page or remove it.

I dont think I would use it if it was that far down, only if it was at the top on a front page.

Just my thoughts as a potential user!

Hope it goes well with the site!

Thanks. The links for Ubuntu, Sessions, Cards, Games, and perhaps others later all open in new pages by design since those are community owned portals which are not directly integrated into the community i.e. Dolphin itself. This provides users with the ability to continue doing whatever they're doing within the community while at the same time switching over to games or cards or the music sessions for awhile. The music sessions for example contain jukeboxes with a song list. If you click on the top song all of the songs in that jukebox will play in sequence for an hour or so. This wouldn't be possible if the link was integrated as one unless the member didn't plan on doing anything else. That's why those particular areas have a "close option" at the bottom of their respective start pages. Also, the colors, images, and backgrounds make it pretty obvious that they're stlll in the same place, as does the link location at the bottom of the browser before anyone actually clicks on one of those links.

The shoutbox is sitting where it is for no particular reason. Depending on the remaining features that are being worked on, I may decide to remove that thing altogether since it really has little to no purpose. We'll see.
