 After update to 7.3, my site loads slowly. It starts loading fast when requested but do not finish loading even after 5-10 minutes! It keeps loading! I just tested here in Florida, seems fast. Your index page is over 5 MB so that is slow to load but the other pages are very fast. ManOfTeal.COM a Proud UNA site, six years running strong! |
The same content was there previously but the site was fast.... now it is slow as per my experience! There would not be any problem if it loads continuously... It is loading for some time in the start then stops getting any data after some seconds.... just the loading icon is showing in the browser! Please check in Google PageSpeed tools... |

Hi Irfan, As Newton27 points out, your front page is 5.7meg. That's a very large page and certainly one that may not load quickly from a shared server.
On looking at your page, may I say firstly that it's quite impressive, but secondly, it seems to contain the entire contents of your site. I'm not sure if people actually bother to scan down the contents of a home page if they're returning to the site, thus I question the need for almost everything to appear there. I think you members will have clicked the login button long before the page has finished loading, so why bother teasing them with stuff they may not be interested in looking at?
Just a thought, but I can see a dozen items that could go and still let your site function smoothly. |
It's on VPS! Not only the home page is loading slowly but all other page also. Even the join page where only Join and Login column is available that also is loading slowly!! |

The website is loading fast now because I enabled CloudFlare on that. I had disabled CloudFlare on that domain because of the issue reported here https://www.boonex.com/forums/topic/Disabling-strict-MIME-type-checking-AlexT.htm
Upon a long talk with CloudFlare support team, Finally today the problem is resolved and that's why I enabled CloudFlare on that. I do know if I will disable CloudFlare again then the site will surely load slowly. Because CloudFlare is compressing the data before sending it to the user, also It has set an expiration time for some files hence loaded locally.
But I want permanent solution without the use of CloudFlare. Like compressing data and setting expiration through .htaccess file Any article on how to optimize Dolphin?? |
