NEWITEM is not working.. need help.. stuck

A while back i tried adding a feild salary to my signup. it did not work. even though i selected seletory/manditory/selector dropdown. so i deleted it or at least tried with no luck.. all saves to it did the same thing did not close the window apon save. so i moved it to the inactive items/

Now i'm running into a problem with adding more fields to the sign up page.

everytime i go to add a new item a get an error saying i can not insert item NEWITEM may already exist.

I searched all the fields menus and found nothing about NEWITEM anywhere...

can someone tell me where the fields data is located so i can manually edit the file and hopefully get things working again?

I've just installed v6.1.4. It's an almost fresh install (one profile, one group). and it works fine, however I can't add New Items and keep receiveing the same error (check if New Item already exists).

I got no New Items within the profiles and profilefields tables. The ID column in both tables is set to auto_increment and Allow Nulls=0.

Any help to fix the problem would be appreciated.

i faced this problem some time ago, what i found was that the name "new item" is in the dbcache file, and needs to be removed in order to be able to create a new item, since as its pushed up to the active area, it checks to see if the item already exists, and if it exists , you will get this error notice.
