Hi,
I have reached out to several people today. My website is having issues. I can't get a hold of my regular guy. I just need a quote about how much it will take to fix. See BrokenHeartedGirl.com, suddenly neither the forums nor the blog posts are available. Please email me at admin@brokenheartedgirl.com or email me here if you can help me today!! Thank you!

Just a guess... try turning some/all of your cache and/or compression options OFF. You'll find them in Admin > Settings > Advanced Settings... Template.
I see the blogs will load if I go to your blogs section. Forums never did load.

It's hard to come from the outside working in when another person has been working on your site.
Who know's what they have done.
The forums can do this if you add www. to your header.inc.php file "after" the site was initially set up with mysite.com without www. during the install process, most say this is a hosting problem.
I have proven this to "break" the forums to show on the home page by doing the www. in the header.inc.php after the site has been installed.

Is the content in the forum (and blogs?) being processed by some form of ad service, such as Google Adsense? That may cause an extended delay if not setup properly. Are you using RSS to fill some/all of the forum and blog content... another source of delay. http://pkforum.dolphinhelp.com |
If you look at her site, you can see what she is referring to.
The forums block on the index page shows the loading animation for ever..

I have looked it a few times and checked for loading issues with http://tools.pingdom.com
The only time I've experienced "forever" loading is when my newly installed site was pulling content from the BoonEx site.

looking at this some more,
if clicking on your navigation menu, say "Forum Home" your redirected to the home page.
I'm no pro, but this may be related to the .htaccess file or some changes made to it.
this link http://www.brokenheartedgirl.com/forum/?action=goto&search=1
shows her index page..

I noticed that too... I suspect she asked her site developer to do that... on purpose. Try that with her Blogs tab... check the URL. Not that I think it's a good idea... but she didn't mention it so I suspect it's "normal" for her site. http://pkforum.dolphinhelp.com |

Off topic for a second...
the loading thing can be replicated by simply changing the header.inc.php file for the site address.
if the site was setup with mysite.com and the user realizes later and wants for what ever reason the site to show up as www.mysite.com and changes the header.inc.php to reflect www.mysite.com instead of mysite.com will break the forums "loading" on the home page.
This may not happen on every server, but it cost me lots of time in the beginning. Lesson, that's the first thing I ask or check on a question like this.
