Need definitions of Mods

I was wondering if anyone has a manual of sorts for any of the features in D7. I am trying to assemble a couple blog posts outlining all the new features on my site and how to use them for my members. I have to be honest though, I really don't know how a lot of them work and what their intended uses are.
