Need help disabling "send message" option

I have tried to disable the "send message" option under Membership Levels / Standard Membership. I deleted the option and that did not work. I tried changing the number of messages a member can send to 0 but it defaults to unlimited when I tried that. What am I doing wrong?

I'm trying to stop a spammer from sending messages, by disabling send messages altogether.

PM me and I'll take care of the problem for you.  As long as it gets you to  stop positng new threads on this.  yes I'm annoyed, but I realize you might not know how to stop it otherwise or have the ability to pay anyone for it.  So just PM me and I'll take care of it for you for good and set up a process to deal with future ones.
