There are a handful of templates in the market. I am not sure if there are any free ones or not.

I'm trying their templates just now.

problem with recommending the above templates is that they were designed for the RC's and the application has changed substantially since these templates were designed and it appears the author is not updating the works.

DosDawg; I use one of these templates in final. So in principe its working. But aware: The only problem is that the orca language not will be compiled. if this a theme error I don't no for sure! Kids first |

As i suspected. That template is not designed for D7 Final.
As is without the forum modules folder it cannot be set as default in admin. The forum page will be blank.
I created a proper forum layout directory for it, was able to set it as default, and compile the language for it as well.
So DosDawg is correct. Those templates are not fully compatable with D7 Final.

strange because I use as default template in admin :) I can switch between UNI and skin002 no probem. and had to make a map structure like uni_en in forum layout Kids first |

be back after while gotta go to the doctor so he can let the air out of my head.
just kidding, killerhai, i think there was a huge drawn out conversation about the templates from that location, and then later on after deano thought he had it all in a bag, kosmic came back with three or four other needed changes. so that is what i was basing the information on.

If it is set as default, i bet if you were to remove the folders modules/boonex/forum/layout/skin002 and modules/boonex/forum/layout/skin002_un
Then clear cache, cache_public and tmp,
The template should not work with the forums at all, unless you made other changes in the templates script directory.

Ihave done nothing on template code, only have made the follwing two maps in forum/layout:
skin002 skin002_en with one I used a renamed uni_en for.
Look at here www.debeestenborg.nl klik on forum. Kids first |

Yes, but what i am saying is the template does not include those, so as supplied, it don't work.
Also, you don't make the skin002_un folder. It is created when you compile the language if the perams.php file in the skin002 one is properly configured.
The proper way to do it is to make a copy of uni name it skin002 then edit perams.php inside that folder and change the 3 lines that contain uni to skin002
Then when you go into the forums as admin and compile the language, the skin002_en is created by dolphin.
Oh, and DosDawg. I may have a solution to your ads section. Left a message on your d7 site.
