New Server ERROR MESSAGES D7.06

Hello,

I am having a couple of issues with my D7.06 site since it was moved to a new server. The first 2 error messages below I receive in the ADMIN Panel when I attempt to save info with the MTOOLS editor. I have never had any problem with MTOOLS and it has worked perfectly.

Warning: fopen(/home/xxxxx/public_html/langs/lang-en.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/xxxxx/domains/xxxxx.com/public_html/inc/languages.inc.php on line 310

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/xxxxx/domains/xxxxx/public_html/inc/languages.inc.php:310) in /home/xxxxx/domains/xxxxx.com/public_html/inc/admin_design.inc.php on line 56

This error I receive when I attempt to ADD any new LANGUAGE KEYS. When I hit save I receive this message below.

COULD NOT COMPILE A LANGUAGE FILE

I have the permissions set to 777 on the following folder directories:

Cache

Cache_public

Langs

TMP

Any ideas?

Do you know if fopen is allowed on your server.  You can look in host tools in admin panel to see.

Looks like fopen is up and running or you should receive another kind of error from the server.

It seems to be an error with permissions more likely.

I would recheck if the permissions are ok.

Also I would check the owner of those directories and see if it setted to be the public owner and not the root one.

Please check.

In any case I would contact the hosting provider, it seems to be something related to the hosting settings-permissions-owners.

Let us know.

I figured it out - for some reason when I moved to the new server, it calls for different permissions on certain files and directories than the previous one. I had to change the lang-en.php file to 666 fom 644
