News on Front Page

Hi,

I am trying to add a NEWS section to the front page, where the ADMIN person can place news..
Also, POLLS, I want to display POLLS and POLLS results on front page, but only the ADMIN will be able to BUILD the POLLS.. I have not found anywhere to do that? seem like POLLS are open to build by any body..

you can turn off create polls from your membership levels and you as the admin should still be able to create a poll. scroll down your lists of options on the membership levels. test that and then come back.

News for the front page is already built in.  Go to admin>builders>page blocks and select home page.  From there drag your news snippet block to where you want it displayed.  to make news go to your admin>modules>news and input your news there.  It will create a news snippet on front page where the user can click to open the news page for the full article.  If you want a larger snippet, just change the news settings.
