No Captcha security image??

hi,

i installed 3 time 6.1.6 on my server...

but on join member page....there is no captcha security image ....

i can't understand

what is solution??

create a file php.ini in folder simg/

then put these settings in that file

get_magic_quotes_gpc = On
allow_url_include = Off
safe_mode = Off

let me know if it works or not

I had the same problem... about the captcha...

And yes, by putting php.ini in the simg folder it work!!!

to make a php.ini file just open notepad, type in your settings and save it as php.ini. Thats it!

Did it but is a no go, no error message or anything just no image

I found out that the entire folder simg was not installed.  Uploaded it or reupload it and make sure Captcha block is there under Security on join page. Now works without php.ini

I found that not only did I need to add a php.ini file, but I also had to delete the simg/ folder on the server and then re-upload it.  Once I did that, it worked fine.  Good grief!
