Not getting new member notifications

I have finally started promoting my site for new members. I am getting new members registering, but I am not receiving any email notifications of their registration or email verification. When I tested this with a friend, it worked. I have checked all my email settings...everything is fine. My email templates are correct. But I have received NO email notifications! The only way I know they joined is that they are added to the Members list in Admin.

Since I want all members to be verified and the site is Members Only, how can I know when to make them Active? I am allowing the first 20 members free, but all after that will be paid memberships. How am I going to know if they have payment verified if my email notifications are not working??

Three things you can check.

1) Edit your own profile. See if Receive site notifications is checked.

2) Go into Admin, then to Settings, then Advanced settings then Moderation. Make sure the option for Enable notification about new members is checked.

3) If your email account has a spam folder, then check the spam folder.

probably because it's still on my server...  i'll move it back to the hosting company later tonight.  Just been very busy.  

Oh....Are you sure whatever you have on your server is what initializes the admin notification emails? I hope you can move that back soon. I am finally getting members signing up and I want to be prompt with welcoming them!
