Notification emails are not sent

My members receive the E-mail Confirmation and Your Profile Is Active, emails. But that's it. They don't receive email about eg.

No emails is sent from Dolphin regarding ANY of this kind of notifications, I can't figure out what the problem is.
Please note ALL the notifications and messages are still sent in Dolphin like normal, the problem is mails are not sent from Dolphin.

Checking the server logs, I can confirm those emails are not being sent out, I really don't see a reason for why that's happening. Our super host Zarconia.com said, perhaps a third-party mod is interfering with it.....
So i tried on our testsite to uinstall each mod on site, and test each time i uninstalled one, but with out any result....

ANYONE have an idea of what the problem might be? I could really need some help ;-)

Site notifications are controlled by the setting in the profile edit page; they are separate from the email confirmation so that has no bearing on site notifications; just because email confirmations go out does not mean anything concerning site notifications.

It makes good sense Geek_girl. Could you have a idea to why, when the Receive Notifications (from Profile Edit) is set to Yes, Dolphin still dose not send the notifications by email?

First check to make sure that confirmation emails are being sent; join as a new user with a different email addy and make sure.  If no emails are going out, including confirmation emails, then you need to check your mail server; make sure the ports needed for email have not been shut somehow.  Check to see if incoming emails reach the mail server.  Make sure the mail server is running.  Are you seeing emails piling up in the mail server's outgoing cache?

Thanks you for your good advice Geek_girl, all you describing is checked and working flawless. There is not any emails piling up in the mail server's outgoing cache, and we have received the confirmation and invite emails, from new users we created. The mail log shows activity, problem is, we don't see any activity for the greet, flirt, etc. emails, Nathan from zarconia says whatever's stopping them is happening at the script level.

Yes, since you are not seeing any mail in the outgoing queue; those emails are not being generated.  I would not waste any time on the mail server.  You are going to have to put some checks in and start testing things.  What changes have you made to your site?  That is the first place to start,

You could clone the site and then do your tests on the clone site, that way you can send output to the web browser so you can see what is happening.  If that is not possible, then you will need to write the output to a file.  I am guessing you have examined all the log files to see if anything shows up there.  Another thing is you could install a fresh copy of Dolphin on a subdomain and see if it works; if so, then start adding in your modules and changes until you find the culprit.  Life in IT is not always easy Wink
