Notification mail on Wall Post and Comments post

Guys lets Request Boonex to make these features in D7

I hope many of you guys will want to have a feature that there should be a mail notification feature be in D7 that if some one post any thing on wall or comment on it or if some one post any comment in your posts shuold have an ability to send a notification mail to the wall owner or the participants of that comment or post of wall..

if you guys think its a good feature please vote for the request.

Meh, I agree with the need, but requesting logical features and enhancements here is like watching paint dry...

I am absolutely for this.  This needs to be incorporated, it drives so much traffic back to your site its unreal.  Whats the first thing you do after seeing somebody wrote on your wall in facebook?  Check facebook.  Hell I'd be willing to pay for this mod.

Count me in. Although d7 has some nice features it lacks sooooooo many basic things such as that you mention. This allows all those mods writers to jump in and write very basic mods and charge $20 - 30 for a simple mod which should be included in d7. D7 is a great piece of software and i have mine running almost faultlessly, but it is a little frustrating that you have to keep paying out for simple little mods that are essential to run your site.

Ok people before you all jump on me, I do understand its my choice to buy a mod or not and sure mod writers should be rewarded for their time. In my opinion probably 90% of all mods are overpriced. You can buy commercial programs for less than some people charge for a mod. Lets not forget a mod is normally a small addition to your site and not a full major program. If you look at expertzzz there were hundreds of mods that hardly had a download. Did the mod writers get the message? no, and do you think they will this time round in Market? not seen any signs yet.

I run a free site which is entirely funded by myself. Maybe mod writers could have a dual pricing system. One for free sites like mine and one for sites that charge for membership or charge a fee to use.

Thats my two pennies worth.

This is definitely a must, in my (rather worthless) opinion...  I've been watching for a mod- anything.  I loved (and so did my members) the notifications mod in D6.  Now, they have no idea that their comment was replied to three days ago, or that someone asked them a question about their photo, etc.  They soon give up on trying to keep up with everything, and the site becomes less interactive- no one is going to waste their time commenting, etc., if it's never going to be seen.

I think it's kind of funny that I have to subscribe to my own profile to know when something happens, and then I get e-mail notifications of my own actions.

I was wondering why I wasn't receiving email notifications...We need this.

I'd be more interested in a daily/weekly (whatever frequency the user requests) digest of activity. Individual notifications of every post will put a huge strain on your server.
