ONCE CREATED A NEW PAGE , WHERE IS IT LOCATED FOR EDITING?

Hello

I am creating a new page via de Page Builder tool etc because I want to work on it, code PHP stuff and the like, but when I create it and put it a name I cannot find the page for code editing.

I can see the url like  /page/newpage

but there is no newpage.php or newpage.html anywhere in the folders.

Suppose you want more pages related to that one that you have created, say because it has dependencies from other code, where does all that stuff go ? in what folders are you to place your files when you create new stuff?

thank you a lot

Go back to Admin>Builders>Page Blocks and you'll find the page in the drop down menu (newer pages are usually at the bottom of the list).

And you'd build even more pages the same way you built the first one, you can manually link them within each other or add links to the navigation menu (Admin>Builders>Nav Menu). There's no manual upload of pages or files for the page creation here, that I know of, - it's all in the blocks.

Hello

first of all a big thank you for answering, I did not have any expectation that anybody would read it.

I am aware of how to do what you indicated, but that does not allow me to write php code in it.

I was meaning where in the server folders tree are those pages located so that I can grab them and write code in them.

I did install a Deano Tools module that allows you to edit a php block but the php page that i create will have to include code from another, and that other page is something that I just need to drag and drop in a folder

Ideally I would like to use my Eclipse (which is an environment for programming) find my page in the server and work locally and be able to drag and drop files into folders. I do that everyday for other of my websites, but with Dolphin Boonex I cant just find the pages I create. I can only see native system dolphin pages.

thank you a lot

ggsinc already answered your question, but i guess the answer was not clear enough. So here goes, i will try to make it clearer.

The page builder does not create any physical pages for you to edit. The pages created with the page builder are for lack of a better description a virtual holding area for page blocks. You can only place page blocks in them.

Thank you for the answer, you really understood my issue. But while I understand your explanation, then, how can I write code, upload pages, and all those things that I do in my other websites which are not Dolphin ?

I use my ECLIPSE platform for C and PHP coding, But I am left blocked when I enter the Dolphin environment., Where am I going to be able to upload my JQUERY files, and AJAX code snippets and the like ?

In other words Deano, how do you yourself create all your stuff for Dolphin ?

regards

Your most likley used to static pages. Dolphin generates it's pages dynamically via a combination of code and database content and templates. It's very complex.

There are other ways to create pages in dolphin other than the page builder. This method is mostly used in modules.

I will see if i can write up an example. It took me months of studying the dolphin code to lear this, and i just do not have the time to teach it. It's not going to be easy to learn. I'll see what i can come up with to get you started.

Below is the legacy version of the Boonex site, maintained for Dolphin.Pro 7.x support.
The new Dolphin solution is powered by UNA Community Management System.
