ORCA installation problems

Hello All,

I have scanned around as much as I could regarding ORCA Forum install. I logged into my admin and installed the Module. No problem. Go to the actual module and it says that it is missing the PHP File.

So I next went into the install folder and physically copied the Forum folder to the install directory of Dolphin 7. I do not think that I should have to do that but was the only thing I could think of.

Now I get a blank page. Going to the Forum/Installl/installer.php file also produces a blank page. So I turned on the display errors function in my php.ini file and I got an error that was produced. Searched the internet and came up with nothing.

BTW, this is on a Windows 2003 Server / Apache / PHP5 / MySQL. All the latest versions. You can see the site here: http://training.screenusa.com

I guess the main question is, is there a decent install guide for ORCA? This part of the install is not all that intuitive. I do not think that this is a permission problem as the install guide says that I do not need to do anything with Windows regarding permissions. My .htaccess file is using exactly what the install guide says to do as well.

So you know, I have also contacted my Agent. Just being impatient :-)

Regards,

Sean

I figured this out. Mod Rewrite was not turning on via the .htaccess file. Once I turned this on in the httpd.conf file for Apache, all worked just fine.

I do have an issue with the Forum name. It is coming up _bx_forums every where, anyone know how to rename it so it only says Forum?

Thanks.

I got the _bx_forums label too, along with a lot of other "_bx_" labels. It was because I had to copy the lang-en.php file from the install to the langs folder manually, because I removed / renamed the install directory BEFORE the install script finished running.

I re-installed all of dolphin 7.0, and this time waited until the very end of the install script to rename / remove the install folder. This added all the appropriate labels for all the modules to the lang-en.php file.
