Offer to author a book on Dolphin

I am Usha Iyer, an acquisition editor with Packt publishing. As an Acquisition Editor, it is my role to evaluate, develop, and ultimately bring book ideas into publication. I am also responsible for finding the right author for any book, bringing them on board, then working with them as the book is written.

Recently, I have begun to develop a title on Dolphin Smart Community Builder_ Beginner Guide and am now looking for an author for this book.

You can find some more information about writing for Packt at Packt's website http://www.packtpub.com/authors.

Please contact me if you are interested in writing this book and I would love to discuss this opportunity with you further.

Thanks,

Usha Iyer

Let me see if I got this straight:

1. I write the book

2. You get most of the money

I am Usher.

I am the aquisition manager for...... well, myself.

I am looking for money. You provide it and I will "usher" it into my bank account, thus "aquiring" it.

Beginners welcome!

Thank you.

(Please do not send any information/money to me. This is an attempt at sarcasm.)

I guess they shipped the spamming jobs out to India too. Figures. No regulations there. Just as the Republicans like it.

I'm beginning to think this little spammer is a year late on this idea.  Perhaps we should tell them the book was already written and published a .... (Nah, we're not gonna give the when)

There's always room for more Dolphin books.   To name a few, we could have:

'Dolphin for nut cases'

'Dolphin for blithering idiots'

'Dolphin and your sexual deviant website'

'How to install Dolphin on any old piece of crap computer'

'How to run Dolphin on your home computer so you can have a social network with 3 of your 8th grade buddies'

I think you forgot "Dolphin - because Tuna is too damned expensive"

I think COTS  publishing (Chicken of the Sea Publishing), may have done that one, but one could always re-do it.

Please note that this is not  spam. I am really serious about the book. Please let me know if anyone would like to author the book.

Yes, James did self-publish a book called The Unofficial Dolphin Manual, and I recall him planning on possibily writing a new one for Dolphin 7.

I suggest if the author of this thread wants to talk to anyone here about a book, it'd be James.
