Ok- New Topic- Idiot doesn't know how to use tinyMCE

Here ya go-

How do I insert images using tinyMCE?

The only way that has worked is to give a ftp path

when I put my site path to the image, it just displays a ripped piece of of paper.

I'm sure it's me, I'm just not clear on what it wants or why it doesn't offer a simple "browse" for image you want to upload option.

Any suggestions?

It does not allow browse to upload, because tinymce on dolphin does not have an association with the functions required for managing the uploads.
So if you upkoad the image to the server and provide the correct path then you shouldnt have that problem

I click "insert image" button and a a window comes up asking me for the URL-

I enter:

http://MySite/public_html/imgstorage1/VDisks.png

or

http://MySite/public_html/imgstorage1/Contest%20Page.jpg

it displays:

Try removing the "public_html" part.

Do you all know if I can slice-up a photoshop image and dump it into this tineMCE thing? Or is it limited to what image formats it will accept?

You can only use standard image formats (e.g., JPG, PNG, GIF, etc.).

Good enough, Thanks!

In the box where you put the image url you only need: /images/myimage.jpg

Not the whole url.  use an ftp to upload them to the publichtml/images folder.

Hope it helps dude. if you get stuck pm me.

You can slice the image - but just save the slices as optomised .gif or.jpg and then try(not east) to line them up in the tiny mce (RUBBISH) thingy....

Right on man, will do. I have managed to slice-up my image and edit the slices. Works fine when I open the it up in a browser and click the buttons I made, so I'll be trying to get everything over to the server and posting in a block or as a full page...We'll see how it goes.

Thanks!
