Only Admin can upload photo to wall

I am having a problem with uploading photos to a profiles wall , works fine as admin , dosen't do anything as a user and no errors. I am using the default template as well. Any ideas or suggestions on getting more debug information ?

-thanks

Cmon someone else must have had this problem. Anyone know how the permissions would work on the wall? I don't get an access denied or anything , it just doesn't work for regular users only admins.

Ok when I post a photo to another users wall as a regular user it goes to "my wall" photo album , I never get the drop down to add a title, and is not reflected on the users wall. If I post as admin it works. Please help!

Is there a way to put the site in debug so I can compare admin vs non-admin process?

Guess I am going to have to bath my code changes and 3rd party modules in slowly from scratch to see what breaks this. If it's a 3rd party module I am sending vinny to pay you a visit! This sucks.... Didn't notice it was broken until a couple days before I am suppose to launch.

Yea I put it in dirty whore mode just to be safe and still nada. Weird thing is photo goes directly to the wall album, but I never get the dropdown asking title, etc , and it dosen't go to the wall. I can write comments or add links , but when I add a photo as a non-admin my browser spins and it uploads, then nothing ... no error .. no nothing (photo is in the wall album, but not reflected on the wall). I thought I had it pinned as a bug because the photo was already on the site and maybe because of the same name , but nope.

if you search the forums this has been addressed. Not sure about the title thing.

As admin on your wall you will see all activity.

As a regular user, you will only see activity for your "friends" not everyone

Is this what your referring to?

No, this is a definite bug, even if you try to post to YOUR wall browser bumbs for a couple secs and nothing.. no feedback .. no error... no dropdown for title preview etc (unless your admin).. I need to download 7.0.6 and start fresh and batch my changes and modules in and see when it breaks , but I can't find 7.0.6 it only shows 7.0.7 for download!!! Argggg fml

All previous version of dolphin are located on sourceforge.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/boonex-dolphin/files/

As for your current problem have you tried clearing the htmlpurifier cache?

If not, Try this.

Go to the following folder on your server.

plugins\htmlpurifier\standalone\HTMLPurifier\DefinitionCache\Serializer

In that folder you will see 4 other folders.

CSS
HTML
Test
URI

Make sure all of those folders are writable. Mode 777

Then go into each of those 4 folders and delete any files found in them.

Then empty your dolphin cache and try again.

So I just registered for boonex.com demo site... I went to my wall , hit share photo , uploaded photo , got the drop down for title/preview, hit submit and it's not on my wall. Different problem but how does this make sense, you can't share a photo on YOUR wall? Like I said my problem is something worse because unless I am admin I don't even get the second menu for title/preview. Everything works fine as an admin to the site so I guess I will make all my users admins :( hahaha .. Hard to believe no one has run into this, I went through all 8 pages that return about this in the forum and people complaining but no one acknowledging it as a problem. Lost ... I am going to load up 7.0.7 since I can't download 7.0.6 anymore it seems and see if I can recreate it in stock. The only 3rd party modules I have are ibdw spywall, membership manager , and profile spitter, all of which are prob some of the most popular modules here...

I did what suggested but still no go, same problem. Thanks for the link to the 7.0.6, going to grab that and see if this is stock problem or a module. Thanks again!

Yes, i have verified there is a problem posting images to the wall on the demo site. My site works fine however. Mine is a upgrade and not a full install. Don't know if that makes a difference.

I also saw another bug on signup on the demo site. The avatar cropping tool already had a previously uploaded image set to crop. Something someone else previously uploaded.

Seems 7.0.7 has some bugs.

Anyone know of a way to debug this? Does dolphin have a global debug like drupal/joomla? It works perfect as admin so I could do as admin and a regular user and compare diffrence if I could see the post/debug output.

Ok WOW... It's not admin users it's just broken for some users!! I have two users with the same membership type ... one works ... one does not!! I am thinking it's a membership module I bought from harvest media , is there a clean way to set acl's and membership types back to default? I have a clean fresh installed db I can copy tables from , I just don't know what tables. I guess I will start with the acl tables. Not sure though how two members in the same membership group and same acl's... one works ... one doesn't ?? Is there something else it could be besides ACL's? very very strange but 40 hours later I am making progress :)
