Hi,
Even when I'm not logged in, the timeline (and more) shows up on my homepage. Is it possible (in an easy way) to create a homepage with just the option to join or login? For example the attached screenshot of facebook.
Thanks!
Wim

There are two ways to do that. One way is free. The better way is a module (splash page)
The free way is to turn off all your module (wall, timeline, ect) to guest. Only have on for guest that you want them to see.
The pay way is to go to the market and search splash page and pick one that fits your needs. |
I have a home page which only shows the login, some info about the site and a slideshow which I purchased. When a person logs in, they see none of that on their home page, just the outline and all things a member expects to see. As @truckingspace pointed out, it can be done with Dolphin, or with a third party module which in my opinion isn't really necessary. I did all mine with what Boonex supplies and it works like a charm. It's all done through Page Builder: Admin/Builders/Page Builder/Home Page As you can see from the attachment, setting any of the available blocks allows you to control what guests and members see. Just click on each of the blocks and choose Guest, Member or both. Experiment! Creating your own fancy HTML blocks can make your splash page look really interesting. |
Thanks guys! This helped me a lot! |
